double sided stripe vase

This piece began with the building of a non-ceramic model which was then made into a mold. Then ultra-white fine porcelain is slip cast, the triple-apature top is created and it's high-fired to cone 6. The porcelain vitrifies and becomes non-porous.

This vessel is double sided. One side has been painted with white and gold enamel while the other is completely clean - giving you the option to display it either way. The interior is glazed in a creamy matte-white. All of the castings have slight imperfections and maintain a hand-made feel.
